RE: [Guide] Claiming Land [Video]
Something else that's useful is to set a greeting and farewell on your plot.
that way other players will see your land when they walk on it. Also if you're building underground or in the sky, you will be able to see where the plot ends. Here are the greeting and farewell commands, and they are enabled for citizens, I've already used these on my plot

To set a greeting:

/region flag [name of plot] greeting [greeting text]

To set a farewell:

/region flag [name of plot] farewell [farewell text]

to erase a greeting or farewell, just run the command without saying the text like this:

/region flag [name of plot] greeting [blank]

I'm really enjoying the cubeville server!!!

RE: [Guide] Claiming Land [Video]
I thought I would just add this link to the video that was done for CV about 10 months back. It is a lot easier to follow than the one at the top of the forum.
You will find the video about 2/3 the way down the forum.

The bad thing is, is that on CV, you only have a certain amount of claimable regions :/

CHEPE is all.

Well, if it wasn't limited you would have people claiming like half the map all the time :/

Also I wouldn't really call it a grave dig as it was to do with the original post.

I remember reading about 3 people a couple maps ago who wanted to claim a 1000x2000 area for themselves. (Roughly 1/18 of the map) If we didn't have limits, we'd have massive areas where no one can build.

RE: [Guide] Claiming Land [Video]
I think that the current limits on regions are actually pretty perfect. I much prefer the freedom of having three or more (with ranks) plots of 30x30 that you can do whatever you want with, as opposed to something like a server with PlotMe where you get one predefined, boring square to build in.

It might be a massive square on some servers, but it's... A square.
